My Routine

This is the routine that I am using for my skin, hair, and nail care. I try to do the same things, on the same days each week. The masks and treatments that I use will change as I try things out. I plan on posting a review about each treatment, mask, or product as I go so I can weed out what works and what doesn't work well.

Sundays I typically don't leave the house, so I like to just be lazy on those days. Since I wash my face with baking soda on Saturday nights, I like to just let my face have a day off the following day. If I do have to leave the house for whatever reason, I use my light coverage foundation routine and minimal eye makeup, which I take off as soon as my errands are finished so the makeup isn't on my face for as long of an amount of time. I try not to wear my makeup for more than 10 hours on any general day.

Skin Care

Daily Routine: Morning lotion/BBCream, makeup removal (if needed), rice toner, night cream.
Lazy Routine: Morning lotion, rice toner, night cream.
  • Monday: Daily Routine + Rice Mask
  • Tuesday: Daily Routine + Exfoliation
  • Wednesday: Daily Routine
  • Thursday: Daily Routine + Exfoliation
  • Friday: Daily Routine + Rice Mask
  • Saturday: Daily Routine + Baking Soda Wash + Hydrating Mask
  • Sunday: Daily Routine/Lazy Routine (If I don't go anywhere)

Hair Care

Daily Routine: Shampoo, condition, blow dry, straighten/curl.
Daily Routine Products: Garnier Frutis Length & Strength shampoo & conditioner, Garnier Frutis Sleek & Shine leave in conditioner, Anti-Frizz serum, John Frieda Volume Spray, Salon Graphics Freezing Hairspray.
Lazy Routine: Shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, braid.
Lazy Routine Products: Garnier Frutis Length & Strength shampoo & conditioner, Organix Hydrating Macadamia Oil Intensive Moisture Mask, Garnier Frutis Sleek & Shine leave in conditioner.

Nail & Hand Care

Daily Routine: Oil on the back of my hands for ten minutes before my shower, lotion on my hands twice throughout the day, intensive hydrating cream before bed.

Daily Vitamins

I buy Nature Made and Spring Valley vitamins. The prenatal is mostly because we can't decide when to try for a baby so I may as well get used to the vitamins. I also eat 1.5 bananas at least 4 days a week. My mom has a potassium deficiency and I get charlie horses often if I skimp on the potassium. I hate bananas, so I typically blend them as a smoothie with soy milk, oatmeal, and chai concentrate or chocolate syrup.
  • 2000mg Flaxseed Oil
  • 1 tablet Super B-Complex
  • 5000mcg Biotin
  • 3000IU D-3 (bone health)
  • 1 Prenatal
